Systems Administrator - Bristol Office

We are looking for a Systems Administrator to work in our Bristol office. 

The successful candidate will be offering a first class service, supporting the Assistant Administration Manager, ensuring we are able to deliver a high quality efficient and reliable service to our clients. 

The individual will:

  • Have knowledge of;

Microsoft products (office/windows/mail merge)
Windows operating systems and applications
Development and Maintenance of Excel Spreadsheets/Databases
Basic hardware maintenance
Wired and Wireless Networking
Remote access (VPN)
Basics of SQL

  • Have a professional, proactive and positive attitude
  • Be able to prioritise and organise their own workloads
  • Attain a high level of accuracy in all work completed
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally
  • Work well within a small busy team
  • Work well independently and proactively
  • Have a valid and up to date driving licence as frequent travel to our Midlands office will be required (own vehicle not necessary)

 Knowledge of the following is desirable but not essential;

Programming languages including (SQL/VBA/Other)
Databases and database management including SQL management software
Virtual server operating systems and application/Hyper-v virtual servers
Basic Server and Network infrastructure

 

Duties:

  • Analysing and cleansing data, identifying inaccuracies
  • Migration of data to new software
  • Clarity system set up and maintenance (pension member website)
  • Maintenance of system procedures
  • Data extraction and manipulation
  • IT projects;

Implementing updates to IT systems across the company where efficiency improvements have been identified
Working with and supporting colleagues on projects or issues
Supporting the IT Manager with projects where needed

 The benefits package includes 20 days holiday, a discretionary bonus scheme, immediate life assurance cover and membership of our group pension arrangement.  Working hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch.
